Both exams now offer options for computer-based and paper-based testing. TOEFL iBT is primarily taken at test centres, though a Home Edition is also available. IELTS is available in both paper and computer formats, also at authorised test centres. The speaking section of IELTS is always conducted in person (or via video link for online versions), never fully unproctored at home.
