What is IPMAT?
IPMAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The exam is held for admission to their 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), which combines undergraduate and postgraduate management studies. The test checks a student’s skills in subjects like Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability.
Of all the IIMs, the IPM course is offered currently by only 7 universities- IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Shillong, IIM Amritsar, IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. IPMAT takes place in 3 formats, depending on which of the above IIMs you wish to apply to- IPMAT Indore, IPMAT Rohtak and JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test). Additionally, IIM Sirmaur accepts the IPMAT Indore score for its Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program.
