Introduction
The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is the autonomous body that sets the standards for and oversees hospitality education in India, while the NCHM JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is the single, national-level entrance test it uses for admission into its affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) for the B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (B.Sc. HHA) program, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducting the exam itself.
What is NCHM JEE?
- The National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Admissions to the B.Sc. (HHA) program is based on the All India Rank (AIR) obtained in the NCHM JEE.
- Following the declaration of results, a centralized, web-based online counselling process is conducted on an all-India basis. Seat allotment is done on the basis of merit-cum-choice, where eligible candidates must register online and submit their preferred choices of institutes and courses.

UG Program Offered: B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (B.Sc. HHA)
The B.Sc. HHA program equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector leading to higher level managerial positions with career progression.
The curriculum focuses extensively on core operational areas, including Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operations, and Housekeeping. In addition, the program incorporates strong managerial and administrative components such as Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Revenue Management, Financial Management, Strategic Management, and Tourism Marketing and Management.

Fee Structure for B.Sc. HHA
One-time fee:
- Admission Fee: Rs. 1,600
- Enrolment fee for NCHMCT: Rs. 3,600
- JNU Fee: Rs. 10,215
- Caution Money (Academic only): Rs. 8,000
Per Semester:
- Examination Fee: Rs. 3000 (per semester)
Note: Tuition Fee is different in different Institutes, as per the discretion extended to them which may be ranging from Rs. 3 lakh to 5 lakh for the entire program of 6 semesters.
How to Apply for NCHM JEE 2026 (Admissions 2026–2029)
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) program for the academic session 2026-2029 must apply through the NCHM JEE, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The application and admission process is completely online and involves the following steps:
