Introduction
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has opened applications for its four-year, full-time undergraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic year. Offered through IIMB’s School of Multidisciplinary Studies, the programmes combine rigorous study in Economics, Data Science and Business with opportunities for research, internships and global exposure.
Students can choose between two undergraduate degree programmes:
- B.Sc. (Hons) Economics, with a minor in Data Science and Business
- B.Sc. (Hons) Data Science, with a minor in Economics and Business.
With an intake of 40 students in each major, the programmes are designed to provide an intensive undergraduate experience within IIM Bangalore’s academic environment.
The programmes are designed to build conceptual understanding, quantitative and analytical skills, and interdisciplinary thinking. Students also get opportunities to engage with research, internships and other forms of experiential learning.
Location & Campus
The four-year undergraduate programmes are full-time residential programmes conducted at IIM Bangalore’s Jigani campus, located approximately 30 km from the Institute’s Bannerghatta campus in Bengaluru. Students will have access to classrooms, computer labs, a library, sports facilities, dining halls and on-campus residential accommodation.
Eligibility
To apply for the 2026–27 intake, applicants must:
- Be 20 years old or younger as of 1 August 2026.
- Have completed Class XII or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
- Have Mathematics as a subject in Class XII.
- Have scored at least 60% in Mathematics in Class X.

IIMB Undergraduate Admissions Test: Sunday, 15 November 2026
The entrance test is a 120-minute computer-based test comprising 60 multiple-choice questions:
- English Comprehension — 15 questions
- Quantitative & Data Interpretation — 30 questions
- Logical Reasoning — 15 questions
The test includes negative marking, with one-third of the marks deducted for an incorrect response.
Selection Process
The admission process has two stages. Entrance test scores are the primary criterion for shortlisting candidates for the personal interview. Final selection is based on a composite score comprising 60% of the entrance test score and 40% of the personal interview.
Interviews: 2nd and 3rd week of January 2027
Offers and waitlist: 3rd week of February 2027
Fees and Scholarships
The programme fee is ₹8.5 lakh per annum for the first two years. Applicants must also pay the IIMB Undergraduate Admissions Test fee:
- ₹3,000 for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates
- ₹1,500 for SC, ST and PwD candidates
While mess charges are not included, they are managed on a cost-sharing basis. Students can expect an additional expense of approximately ₹8,000 – ₹10,000 per month. Need-based scholarships are available to eligible students.
