# Which UK universities are establishing campuses in India?

Several UK universities are establishing campuses in India under the country’s regulatory framework for foreign higher education institutions. Examples include:
Birkbeck, University of London – Bengaluru
University of Liverpool – Bengaluru
University of Southampton – Gurugram, Haryana
Queen’s University Belfast – GIFT City, Gujarat
University of York – Mumbai
University of Bristol – Mumbai
Other universities, including the universities of Aberdeen, Surrey and Lancaster, have also been exploring or developing plans for a presence in India. The status of each initiative varies, so students should distinguish between operational campuses, approved proposals and announcements.
