# I’m in Grade 12, when should I take the test?

Immediately, ideally within the next 1-2 months if you haven't already. Most university application deadlines fall between October and January. Results take up to 13 days (IELTS paper) or 6 days (TOEFL/computer IELTS), so you need to account for that. If applying to US universities via Common App, aim to have scores ready by October at the latest.
