# Is the paper-based IELTS better or the computer-based?

Neither is inherently better, the content and scoring are identical. Choose based on your strengths: if you prefer speaking to a real person and writing by hand, paper-based IELTS is better; if you type quickly and read fast on screen, computer-based may suit you better. The computer-based version also delivers results faster (3-5 days vs. 13 days)
