Academic Writing

As students embark on their
undergraduate journey, academic
writing is one of the most essential
skills required to excel in
university. Students need to write
compelling essays for admissions,
write reports, research papers and
a lot of essays during their studies.
To help enhance our students’
writing proficiency, CAP invited an
expert from EducationUSA. The
session covered techniques for
structuring essays, citing sources,
and maintaining academic
integrity.

The Road to California: Acing your UC Application

Led by Essai Education, this session
focused on navigating the
University of California (UC)
application process. It provided
students with guidance on
completing the application form,
writing compelling essays, and
meeting the UC system’s unique
requirements

CUET: Tips & Strategies

Ever since Delhi University started
an entrance exam, CUET has been
the biggest concern for many DU
aspirants and their parents. In
order to address this concern, CAP
invited another speaker from the
Pratham institute to talk about the
exam. This session aimed to decode
the Common University Entrance
Test (CUET), providing students
with tips and strategies to excel in
the exam.

Law as a Career – Crafting Your Path in the Legal World

To dive into India, CAP started
with a much demanded session on
Law. For this session, it invited a
guest speaker from the Pratham
institute. The session focused on
the legal profession as a career
path. It provided students with
insights into the different branches
of law, career opportunities,
educational requirements, and the
skills needed to succeed in the legal
field.

Undergraduate Studies in Australia & New Zealand

Another much demanded session
was conducted in collaboration
with Education New Zealand and
the Australian Commission. This
session explored undergraduate
study opportunities in Australia
and New Zealand. It provided
students with information on
universities, courses, student life, scholarships and a lot more about these countries.

Writing a Compelling Statement of Purpose: A UK University Perspective

Led by a representative from the
University of St. Andrews, this
session focused on how to write an
effective statement of purpose for
UK university applications. It
provided students with valuable
insights directly from an admission
officer’s point of view and gave
them tips to showcase their
academic and personal
achievements.

Mastering Standardized Testing for College Success: SAT & AP

After multiple requests to know
more about the SAT exam, the
knowledge partner invited
representatives from the College
Board, the not-for-profit
organization which develops and
administers standardized tests,
including SAT & AP. The session
provided students with insights
into test formats, content, and
preparation strategies to achieve
academic success. Interacting
directly with the people who are
responsible for conducting the
exams really helped students gain a
lot of insights and get their
questions answered.

The Write Stuff: Essays That College Admissions Can’t Resist

In today’s time, when it’s so easy to
write essays with the help of AI,
students are forgetting how to
make their essays unique. In order
to address this concern, experts
from USC and Columbia
University of New York were
invited to talk about the kind of
essays they want to read and what
makes the essays stand out in their
view. The session provided
students with tips and strategies for
writing impactful personal
statements and supplemental
essays to enhance their college
applications.

the University of British Columbia,
this session explored
undergraduate study opportunities
in Canada, highlighting academic
programs, admission criteria, and
student life.
